Users

A model defining contact details, login details and permissions for individuals using the system. The admin should manually add a few users via the administration interface and assign them permissions, or assign them groups from which they inherit all their permissions. For example a recommended configuration:

• admin: 
  • superuser status: this user has all permissions from the Permissions model without explicitly assigning them.
  • staff status: the user can log into the admin site.
  • part of the admin group
• manager:
  • staff status: the user can log into the admin site. However, it needs additional permissions to see any model or do any action there. 
  • part of the manager group
• user:
  • part of the user group

In addition to adding, deleting and changing users, the administrator can also enable/disable users (checks/unchecks the "Active" checkbox) and inherit permissions from other reference users (it does not concern the active, staff or superuser status). Disabling a user account is recommended to deleting the account.

The administrators (or staff with auth | user | Can add user permissions) can add users within the licence limit.
